Silhouettes | Photography by Louis Martins
"I have always had a fascination with the silhouette in my work. For 'The Living Dead' it was an obvious visual metaphor to create a lead character that was a blank canvas. This gives the viewer the power to imprint on this character their own personality. For this scene I felt using the contrast between light and dark worked perfectly, the scissors also act as a tipping point for the character, as they start to descend into madness".
