In 2013 I covered the public funded state funeral of former British Prime Minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher. Thatcher throughout her career had been a divisive figure with events such as the Falklands war and the Poll Tax; even after her death she was still courting a divide in the opinions of the nation.

The event itself wasn’t as volatile as media reports had anticipated, but, there were still voices of decent in the crowds, the images of that day capture the pomp and ceremony attached to a full military/state funeral, something that the British are unrivalled in in my opinion.
